Meet Barry: The Best Postie in the World.
I'm beginning to prepare for my move to a more rural setting this late April, I can't help but reflect on how fortunate I am to have the best postie in the world: Barry. (How do I know he is deserving of the title? well when my last equally fantastic Postie Craig moved to a different round, Barry introduced himself & told me he was indeed the Best Postie in the world).
Always prompt and exceptionally helpful, Barry has made my experience of receiving packages a lot smoother. Whether it’s your important Links of London Bracelets for a restring or supplies for my new studio, I know I can count on Barry to deliver without any hiccups.
My Moving Plans - Late April 2026
Moving is never an easy task, even if it's just locally, especially when I have collected 20 years of tools, beads, bits of findings & what I suspect may be the national collection of black string. My new home promises to offer more space for my absolutely massive hens and the joy of another polytunnel. As I get ready for this big change, I have to pack and organize my very full silversmithing studio (and of course unpack & arrange everything at the other end) There will inevitably be a delay in processing repairs and deliveries during this time - I will have a postal forwarding service in place at the point of move, however apologies in advance for any delay & I ask for your understanding.
Making Friends with My New Postie
Of course, while Barry has been a wonderful postie to work with, I hope to make friends with my new postie once I move. I hope the same level of efficiency and friendliness to continue as I settle into a new environment. Whether it’s chatting about the local area or sharing tips about gardening, I look forward to forging a good relationship with my new carrier. After all, having a friendly postie can make a real difference in your day-to-day to life, especially when you’re shifting to a rural setting.
As I prepare for this exciting move, I just want to give a shoutout to Barry and all his teammates at Royal Mail for all the fantastic service they have always provided. Here’s to reliable postal heroes like them who make running a small business less stressful!
